The Port of West Calhoun offers business and industry the best of all worlds in terms of location to the Intercoastal Waterway and shipping destinations throughout Texas, the United States, and beyond.
The Port of West Calhoun is the first port off of the Victoria Barge and offers our business partners direct access to the Intercoastal Waterway. Additionally, there are no height restrictions or obstructions between the Long Mott Harbor and the Intercoastal Waterway. Ships and barges entering our Long Mott Harbor have access to a canal with navigable depths matching that of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
We offer our customers a close proximity to State Highway 35, US Highways 185 and 59, and Interstate 69 which has been designated as a state primary freight corridor. For customers who need to ship products by rail, dual rail options are available.
Our location in South Central Texas along the South Texas Gulf Coast allows our customers quick access to major markets with our central location between Houston, Corpus Christi, Austin, and San Antonio all within a 150 miles from the port. Also, Dallas/Fort Worth is approximately 325 away.
